Seven Injured in Clash Between Two Groups Over Establishing Dominance in Narail

At least seven people were injured in a clash between two groups over establishing dominance in Lohagara upazila of Narail. The incident occurred on Thursday (October 30) afternoon at Bardia-Mongolpur village under Kotakol Union of the upazila.

The injured have been identified as Prince Sheikh (26), Bipul Molya (40), Rana Molya (30), Russell Molya (30), Rafine (16), Sourav Molya (14), and Milton Molya (30).

According to police and local sources, around 3:30 p.m., an altercation broke out between locals Bipul Molya and Milton Molya over dust from paddy threshing entering the house. Later, the dispute escalated into a clash between supporters of Bipul Molya, backed by Nausher Molya, and supporters of Milton Molya, backed by Member Mojibur. Both groups used local weapons, spears, and knives during the confrontation. During the clash, Bipul Molya was struck in the face with a spear and was later admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shariful Islam said that additional police forces had been deployed at the scene. The situation in the area is currently calm, and legal action regarding the incident is underway.
