At least seven people were killed on Sunday in Ecuador when gunmen opened fire at a bar, authorities have reported, highlighting the country’s ongoing struggle with soaring gang-related violence.
According to national police, all seven victims died from gunshot wounds at a pool hall located in the nightlife district of Santo Domingo, approximately 150 kilometres (93 miles) west of the capital, Quito.
