Filmmaker Siddharth Anand’s much-talked-about project “King”, starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is currently being filmed in Poland. From the star-studded cast and massive production budget to Shah Rukh’s intriguing new look, the film has already generated enormous buzz among audiences. Shooting was progressing in full swing until, quite unexpectedly, King Khan abandoned the set and returned to India.
According to Bollywood insiders, Shah Rukh’s urgent departure has a very special reason. On 23 September, the 71st National Film Awards Ceremony will take place in New Delhi. At this prestigious event, Shah Rukh Khan will personally receive the National Film Award from President Droupadi Murmu.
Remarkably, this will be the first National Film Award of his illustrious career. He has been honoured for his 2023 blockbuster film “Jawan”, which broke records across India and internationally.
Despite a career spanning over three decades, the superstar had never received this particular recognition before. This moment has therefore become profoundly emotional and significant for him.
