Rock titans Shinedown are set to electrify the stage at MVP Arena on Saturday, 18 July, as part of their highly anticipated Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour. The band promises an unforgettable night of music, bringing with them a lineup of notable guest performers from the rock scene.

The news was teased on Monday via a striking Facebook post by the Albany venue, featuring a figure with a television for a head emblazoned with the Shinedown logo. Many fans quickly deciphered the clever visual hint, foreshadowing the official concert announcement released by Live Nation on Tuesday.

The tour follows the impending release of Shinedown’s eighth studio album, Ei8ht, scheduled for May, demonstrating the band’s continued influence and relevance in the modern rock landscape.

Depending on the date of their 54-stop world tour, Shinedown will be joined by a rotating roster of special guests. For the Albany show, fans can expect performances by Coheed and Cambria, From Ashes to New, and DJ Rock Feed. Other tour stops will feature acclaimed acts such as Black Stone Cherry and Those Damn Crows, ensuring a diverse rock experience for audiences worldwide.

Since their formation in 2001, Shinedown has amassed an impressive 21 No. 1 hits on the Billboard rock charts, including fan favourites such as Dance, Kid, Dance, Killing Fields, and Three Six Five. The band is fronted by Brent Smith, alongside Zach Myers on guitar, Eric Bass on bass, and Barry Kerch on drums, combining technical prowess with stage charisma.

Tickets for the MVP Arena concert will be available from 10 a.m. on Friday, 20 February, with Citi card members granted early access to presale tickets the day before. Fans are advised to secure their seats early, as demand for this multi-act rock extravaganza is expected to be high.
