The production of the eagerly anticipated film Malik, starring popular actors Arifin Shubho and Bidya Sinha Mim, has resumed in Dhaka, bringing renewed energy to the project as it captures the vibrant spirit of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival. The second phase of shooting is currently underway in Savar, focusing on pivotal sequences that are central to the film’s storyline.
Director Saif Chandan shared insights into the ongoing work, stating that the first phase in Rajshahi concluded successfully. “The team is now concentrating on Mim’s performance for the second phase in Savar,” he said. He added that while Arifin Shubho is temporarily in the United States attending to personal matters, he is expected to return by the end of this month to participate in the final phase of filming.

Chandan emphasised that the second phase is heavily focused on Mim’s acting and the film’s dramatic sequences. “We are working meticulously to depict the festive spirit of Eid alongside social themes, ensuring that each scene resonates with the audience,” he said.
The film has already generated considerable excitement among viewers. Short teasers and posters released on social media following the first phase of shooting have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with experts praising the combination of storytelling, acting, and direction.
With the current phase progressing, the production team aims to complete the film in time for Eid. The return of Arifin Shubho for the third and final phase is expected to bring the project to full completion, allowing Malik to offer audiences a thoroughly engaging cinematic experience in celebration of the festival.
