A tragic road accident in Baraigram upazila of Natore, Bangladesh, has left six people dead and one critically injured after a microbus collided head-on with a truck on Wednesday morning.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:30 AM on 23 July near the Srirampur area, adjacent to the Airmari Bridge.
Casualties and Injuries
All those who died were passengers in the microbus, according to police sources. One person survived the collision but sustained life-threatening injuries and was immediately transferred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

The names and identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, authorities said.
Sequence of the Incident
According to OC Golam Sarwar Hossain of Baraigram Police Station, the accident unfolded when a Dhaka-bound microbus from Natore reached the Tormuj Pump area and collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
“The microbus was completely crushed in the collision,” he said.
Five of the passengers died on the spot, while two others were taken separately to the Upazila Health Complex, where one more person succumbed to injuries.
Emergency Response and Traffic Disruption
Following the accident, personnel from the police and fire service quickly arrived at the scene to conduct rescue and recovery operations.

The collision caused heavy traffic congestion on the highway, as emergency services cleared the wreckage and managed the situation.

Ismail Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Bonpara Highway Police Station, confirmed the accident and stated that all deceased were travelling in the microbus. The identity of the victims remains unknown at the time of reporting.
