Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has achieved yet another milestone, as a new commercial skyscraper in Dubai is set to bear his name. The 55-storey tower, located on the prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road, has been titled “Shah RukhZ by Danube”. The project was formally announced at a lavish event in Mumbai, attended by Shah Rukh Khan himself. The ceremony was hosted by his long-time friend, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan.
According to a report by Khaleej Times, the development will span an impressive one million square feet, with prices starting from 1.7 million dirhams. Danube Group aims to position the tower as a global hub for entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders. At the entrance, visitors will be greeted by a striking sculpture depicting Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic open-armed pose—a familiar image adored by his fans worldwide. The sculpture is expected to become a major attraction for tourists and residents alike.
Construction of the skyscraper is scheduled for completion by 2029, marking one of the most ambitious real estate ventures associated with an Indian film star. The project highlights Dubai’s continued enthusiasm for blending luxury architecture with celebrity influence, a trend that has captured global attention over the past decade.
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his emotions on social media, describing the honour as deeply meaningful. “Having my name associated with a structure in Dubai is a moment of immense pride and emotion,” he wrote. “It is a special privilege to remain, in some way, a part of this city forever. For me, Dubai has always been a symbol of dreams, ambition and limitless possibility.”
With this project, the Bollywood icon not only strengthens his long-standing relationship with Dubai, but also cements his position as one of the most influential cultural figures in the region.
