South Korea’s OCF Company Limited is set to invest USD 8.6 million in the Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) to establish a manufacturing plant for tents and related accessories, including camping furniture, gear, and bags.
The announcement came through an official press release issued by the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) following a contract signing ceremony held at its executive office in Dhaka on Wednesday, 6 August.

The signing ceremony was observed by Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Executive Chairman of BEPZA.
Project Overview
OCF’s upcoming factory in Mongla EPZ will produce a wide array of outdoor and camping products, such as:
This investment is projected to generate employment for 820 Bangladeshi nationals.
BEPZA’s Remarks
During the ceremony, BEPZA’s Executive Chairman stated:
“BEPZA consistently encourages diversified industrial production. Since this is OCF’s second venture under BEPZA, we express our appreciation for their continued trust. We also invite them to act as ambassadors in promoting further South Korean investment in EPZs.”
He reaffirmed BEPZA’s commitment to offering a secure and supportive investment environment for foreign investors.
