The Disaster Management Centre on Tuesday reported that the death toll from flooding and landslides in Sri Lanka had risen to 410, with a further 336 individuals still missing after a week of relentless heavy rainfall.
Authorities stated that more than 1.5 million people had been affected by what has become the country’s most severe natural disaster since the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
