In a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community, police in Narsingdi have apprehended a man in connection with the abduction, sexual assault, and subsequent murder of his teenage stepdaughter. The authorities confirmed on Saturday that the suspect has already provided a full confession before a magistrate, detailing the harrowing final moments of the young girl’s life.

The SP noted that the perpetrator used the victim’s own scarf (orna) to commit the act of manual strangulation after the initial assault.
