A coordination meeting was held under the authority of the Islamic Arabic University (IAU) to ensure that the Fazil (Pass) Examination 2024 is conducted in a fair, cheat-free, and peaceful manner. The meeting focused on examination centre inspections and the responsibilities of officials to maintain transparency and discipline.
The meeting took place on Wednesday (22 October) at the university’s auditorium, organised by the Examination Control Office.
Speakers at the meeting made it clear that no irregularities will be tolerated during the upcoming Fazil (Pass) examination, which begins on 25 October. They emphasised that the exams will be held in a fair environment, completely free from malpractice. Any form of misconduct will invite strict disciplinary action.
The speakers also reiterated the goal of organising a transparent and quality examination that upholds the university’s reputation and academic integrity. To ensure this, teachers and officials assigned to monitor the centres will maintain stringent vigilance so that every examination hall remains calm, orderly, and free of cheating.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Shamsul Alam, Pro-Vice-Chancellors Professor Dr Mohammad Shahidul Islam and Professor Dr Mohammad Abu Zafar Khan, Treasurer A.S.M. Mamunur Rahman Khalili, and Registrar Md Ayub Hossain. Teachers and officials assigned for centre inspections also took part. The session was conducted by Controller of Examinations Mohammad Ali.
During his address, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Shamsul Alam stated that the Fazil examination is a vital part of the nation’s higher education system, serving not only as an assessment of academic knowledge but also as a reflection of morality, honesty, and responsibility. He stressed that there is no room for irregularities, negligence, or leniency in the examination process.
He added that the university has introduced technology-based monitoring systems and modern supervision methods for centre management and operational oversight. These measures are expected to enhance question paper security, punctuality, and overall discipline throughout the examination process.
The Vice-Chancellor further expressed that if every responsible official performs their duties with integrity and dedication, the university’s image will be strengthened even further.
At the end of the meeting, all attending teachers and officials pledged to uphold the highest standards of honesty, sincerity, and professionalism while performing their field duties during the examinations.
