Those who regularly keep an eye on the Facebook wall of Tasnia Farin, the familiar face of the acting world, must have noticed that there is no new news of her acting recently. The fact is that Farin, who belongs to the acting world, is now busy with music. Her new song, ‘Mon Golbe Na’ (The Heart Won’t Melt), was released yesterday, Thursday afternoon. A different side of Farin was seen in this song. Her comment on this pop-style track was that she wanted to create a fusion in her song and tried to create something new by blending the feeling of the eighties and nineties with the present time. A story has also been incorporated into the song, where there is a beautiful blend of artistic and commercial elements. She and her team have tried hard to present their unique ideas.
Farin debuted as a singer in 2024. Her first song, ‘Ronge Ronge Rongin Hobe’ (Will be Coloured with Colours), was aired on the magazine programme ‘Ittyadi’. The success of this song further encouraged her to sing. Farin is quite satisfied with the new song as well. She mentions that despite their budget limitations, she wanted to do something new outside of the conventional music video format. She maintained a balance so that no one can label the song as purely commercial or purely artistic. The lyrics of ‘Mon Golbe Na’ were written by the famous lyricist Kabir Bakul, and the tune and music were composed by the popular artiste Imran Mahmudul.
Farin had a long-standing desire to launch a production house, which has recently materialised. The formal journey of the house has started with her own new song. Farin said that she started this company to execute some work reflecting her own ideas and thoughts. Although the journey began with a music video, she intends to do regular work from this company in the future. When asked whether the company will produce dramas or films, Farin replied that she has not thought that far yet. She suggested that this could be considered a ‘test’. New plans will be considered later.

Although Farin has been acting for almost 10 years, she wanted to be a singer since childhood. American pop star Taylor Swift is her biggest inspiration. Her motivation grew manifold after watching Swift’s concert live in Scotland, and she gained the courage to take music more seriously. Farin believes that she grew up listening to Swift’s songs and watching her. Swift has built an empire in music, which is a huge inspiration for Farin. She states that her style of acting is established, but she wants to do something in music as well. She has paid attention to costumes and other aspects to establish herself as a pop singer.
