The mysterious document of the biker was affixed to Tarique Rahman’s car, and he fled

In a bizarre incident in Dhaka’s Gulshan area last Wednesday night, a motorcyclist reportedly affixed a “mysterious” piece of paper to the moving bulletproof car of BNP chairman Tareq Rahman before swiftly fleeing the scene. Police have launched an investigation on their own initiative, but the individual responsible has yet to be identified.

According to Officer-in-Charge Rakibul Islam of Gulshan Police Station, the event occurred at approximately 11:40 pm on Road No. 65. A man riding a motorcycle approached Tareq Rahman’s convoy and suddenly pressed an unmarked piece of paper onto the moving vehicle before speeding away. The motorcycle was reportedly a white Hero Honda brand.

Incident Summary

Detail Information
Date & Time Wednesday, ~11:40 pm
Location Road No. 65, Gulshan, Dhaka
Vehicle Targeted Tareq Rahman’s bulletproof car
Motorcycle Description White Hero Honda
Paper Content Blank / Unmarked
Reporting Police initiated, no GD filed by BNP

Police sources confirm that the chairman’s personal security team (CSF) was present during the incident. Nevertheless, BNP authorities did not file a general diary (GD), prompting law enforcement to proceed independently with the inquiry.

Investigators have already collected CCTV footage from the vicinity. While the video shows a motorcyclist approaching the car and attaching the paper before fleeing, the quality is insufficient to definitively identify the rider.

A police officer involved in the investigation said, “We are analysing the footage alongside other intelligence to determine the identity of the motorcycle and its rider. Legal action will follow if new evidence emerges.”

The incident has raised questions about security protocols, especially considering that Tareq Rahman’s convoy is routinely accompanied by a security detail. Authorities have yet to determine whether the act was intended as a threat, a warning, or simply a prank.

The police investigation continues, with officers urging anyone with information about the motorcyclist or the suspicious paper to come forward. Residents and commuters in Gulshan have expressed concern over the audacity of carrying out such an act in a high-security area.
