Police have recovered the bodies of three individuals from a water tank of an under-construction building in a residential area under Bhatara Police Station in Dhaka. The bodies have been sent to the Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) morgue for post-mortem examination.
The deceased have been identified as:

In addition, one more person was rescued in a critical condition and immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
Bhatara Police Officer-in-Charge, Rakibul Hasan, reported that the three bodies were recovered between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM on Saturday, 16 August.
He explained, “We received information through the national emergency number 999 that four individuals had entered the water tank of an under-construction building in the residential area and had not come out. Upon arrival, police found three deceased inside the tank and one person in a serious condition.”
According to OC Rakibul Hasan, the deceased were working as construction labourers at the site. They had entered the water tank to remove bamboo scaffolding and poles used in the construction work when the incident occurred.
Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the deaths, while the survivor is receiving treatment in hospital.
This incident highlights the risks faced by construction workers and the urgent need for strict safety measures at building sites.
