Bogura police have arrested two young men in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Adamdighi. The accused were apprehended from the scene late on Sunday evening. The victim has since been sent to court for a medical examination and to record her statement.
According to the police, the victim is a fourth-grade student at Borakhira Government Primary School and hails from a Hindu family in the Adamdighi area. The girl was reportedly taken to a room, her mouth bound, and allegedly raped in succession against her will. Following the assault, the perpetrators are said to have threatened her, warning that if she disclosed the incident to anyone, they would kill her and circulate previously taken photos on social media.
