Two Interim Government Advisers Preparing Sudden Departure

Qatar-based investigative journalist Zulkarnaine Sayer Khan has claimed that two key advisers of the interim government are scheduled to leave the country today, sparking widespread discussion across social media and public forums.

In a morning post on his Facebook account, Sayer stated that he obtained this information from sources close to the advisers. According to his report, the advisers are planning to depart via commercial flights this Monday, 16 February, though their identities have not been disclosed due to security considerations.

Sayer provided precise flight details in his post: one adviser is reportedly preparing to board a China Eastern flight at 12:50 PM, while the second is expected to leave on an Emirates flight at 6:45 PM. The sudden nature of these departures has prompted speculation about possible reasons behind the move.

Adviser Flight Time Airline Departure Details
Adviser 1 12:50 PM China Eastern Scheduled departure from Dhaka
Adviser 2 6:45 PM Emirates Scheduled departure from Dhaka

Highlighting concerns over transparency, Sayer questioned whether the advisers have completed the necessary audit clearances and obtained security approvals. He urged the current administration to ensure that no high-ranking official departs the country without fulfilling all legal and procedural requirements.

As a long-standing human rights journalist, Sayer’s statements have raised questions regarding the airport authorities’ and security agencies’ role in overseeing such departures. Analysts suggest that this development may indicate new alignments both within and outside the government, especially amid ongoing reform measures and administrative reshuffles.

At present, no official government sources have confirmed the advisers’ travel plans. Should Sayer’s claims prove accurate, the departure of these advisers could have significant implications for the nation’s political landscape, potentially affecting the stability and decision-making within the interim administration.

Observers continue to monitor the situation closely, noting that the timing of the departures during a sensitive period of governmental reforms could lead to heightened scrutiny and speculation in the media and public discourse.
