The Under-19 Asia Cup is set to commence this December, featuring eight teams divided into two groups. As in the previous edition, Bangladesh will compete in Group B, where their opponents are Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Although Afghanistan are the official hosts of the tournament, the matches will take place in the United Arab Emirates. The competition will begin on 12 December, with India facing the hosts UAE in the opening match.
Bangladesh will start their campaign a day later, on 13 December, against Afghanistan at the ICC Academy Ground. Their second match will be against Nepal on 15 December at The Sevens Stadium.
The Young Tigers will play their final group-stage match on 17 December against Sri Lanka, which will also be held at the ICC Academy Ground.
Meanwhile, Group A promises intense contests, with India and Pakistan once again placed in the same group. They are joined by the UAE and Malaysia. The high-voltage India–Pakistan clash is scheduled for 14 December at the ICC Academy Ground.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on 19 December. The final will be played on 21 December, also at the ICC Academy Ground. All matches will begin at 9 pm Gulf Standard Time.
