Residents of the war-torn Gaza Strip are living in extremely fragile conditions, where even survival has become difficult. To ease their hardship and reduce pressure on young people and families, the United Arab Emirates has undertaken a unique humanitarian initiative.

Under the programme titled ‘Operation Gallant Knight 3’, the UAE has announced the organisation of a mass wedding. The date has been set for 2 December, the UAE’s National Day. A total of 54 men will benefit from this initiative.

The UAE has stated that this humanitarian effort will serve as part of the celebration of its 54th National Day and help reduce the burdens of families in Gaza.

Interested individuals can register through the link provided in the ‘Projects and Assistance’ section on the UAE’s official website. This system has been arranged to ensure a smooth and well-organised process.

To participate in the mass wedding programme, applicants must meet eight conditions. These include being a Palestinian citizen and a permanent resident of the Gaza Strip. The applicant must be at least 27 years old, although exceptions will be made for those who are the sole surviving member of their family. Applicants must also be physically, mentally and socially fit for marriage.

Additionally, applicants must belong to a low-income family and be willing to follow the relevant guidelines. This initiative is considered a new phase of humanitarian support, expected to bring joy to Gaza’s youth and families while contributing to social stability.
