The contrast between the two days’ photos fuelled speculation about the party’s stance regarding its new identity symbol.

Jamaat’s Position on the Logo

  • Party leaders confirmed to the media yesterday that a change in logo is under consideration.
  • However, they stressed that no final decision has been made.
  • Several designs are currently on trial, and the approved version will be formally announced later.

The logo, revealed on Sunday but later withdrawn, contained:

  • A green book as the base.
  • An emerging sun rising from behind the book.
  • A pen, used as the vertical balance bar of Jamaat’s traditional scale symbol.
  • Semi-circular arcs emerging from both ends of the book.
  • The words “বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামী” (Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami) in golden letters beneath.
  • The party’s name written in Arabic and English in white over a golden background.

By Monday, the logo space appeared blank in the photos, although the golden text “Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami” remained.
