Pia Jannatul, the popular model and actress, first rose to fame after winning the Miss Bangladesh title in 2007. She made her film debut in Chorabali and began her career as a model before stepping into acting. Alongside her work in the entertainment industry, Pia is also a practising lawyer, associated with the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and has worked with former Awami League MP Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon of Habiganj-4 constituency.
Pia is highly active on social media and recently gave an interview on a private TV channel. Sharing a clip of the interview, she emphasised the importance of responsibility in content creation: “Uploading trash should not be anyone’s work.”
She elaborated, stating: “If you work behind the camera, it is your duty to build society, not pollute it with filthy content. Simply chasing views or trends does not justify sharing trash.”
Pia also addressed public figures and presenters: “If you are a public figure, remember that people follow you. Every word, every reaction influences them. There is no need to respond to every trivial question. Spreading the wrong message is never a mark of responsibility.”
Regarding presenters and journalists, she highlighted accountability: “It is 80% your responsibility to consider the questions you ask. Even if a producer or someone else instructs you, you must remain conscious of your actions. Later, people don’t remember who asked you to ask a question; they remember that you asked it.”
Pia concluded with a strong message for content creators: “Let us all take some responsibility. What we create should have a positive impact on society, not pollution.”
