In an evocative blend of music and visual storytelling, popular Bangladeshi actress Jannatul Sumaiya Himi is set to captivate audiences this Valentine's season. Her latest project, a "song-story" titled "Dujon Dujonar", is scheduled for release on 13 February 2026 under the prestigious Soundtek banner. While Himi is a staple of the holiday television schedule, this year marks a significant milestone as she ventures into the musical arena with her own vocal performance.
The track features lyrics penned by the National Film Award-winning lyricist Kabir Bakul, with a soulful melody composed by Pulok Adhikari. Himi shares the microphone with co-singer Rafi, creating a romantic duet specifically tailored for the season of love.
The accompanying music video, directed by the acclaimed Saikat Reza, stars Himi alongside popular actor Tawsif Mahbub. This collaboration brings together two of the most sought-after faces in the Bangladeshi drama industry, ensuring a high level of anticipation among fans of television fiction and music alike.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Himi remarked on the uniqueness of this particular Valentine's Day. "Every year, several of my dramas are released during this festival, and this year is no exception," she noted. "However, I am far more thrilled this time because it marks the debut of my very first song. Beyond performing the vocals, I also had the pleasure of acting in the visual representation. I truly cannot wait to share this with the audience."
Lyricist Kabir Bakul expressed his confidence in the project, noting the raw potential of his collaborators. "I have always enjoyed working with fresh talent. When I first heard Rafi, I recognised immense potential. I previously worked with Himi on a song for the television magazine show Ittyadi, which was very well received. I am optimistic that this new duo will win over hearts this Valentine's."
