Bangladesh’s premier rock-metal band, Warfaze, has announced the temporary suspension of their highly anticipated “Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour.” The tour, meticulously planned to commemorate four decades of the band’s illustrious musical journey, was set to traverse the nation, celebrating their enduring legacy with devoted fans. Following successful performances in the United States, Australia, and Canada earlier this year, the abrupt postponement of the concerts in Bangladesh has left enthusiasts deeply disappointed.
In an official statement, the band expressed their regrets:
“Dear fans, our ‘Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour’ concluded successfully in the United States in 2024. Earlier this year, we received an overwhelmingly positive response in Australia, and in September and October, our performances in Canada were met with similar enthusiasm. We had planned to commence the national leg of the tour towards the end of October, culminating in a special gala concert in January. Discussions with various event management agencies were complete, numerous artists had expressed interest in participating, and sponsorship had been secured. However, due to the current situation in the country, obtaining the necessary approvals proved impossible. Many events are suddenly being postponed or cancelled, creating significant challenges for both artists and organisers. Under these circumstances, we believe it is neither feasible nor appropriate to proceed with the concerts at this time.”
The statement further added:
“We hope that by the end of next year, circumstances will improve, allowing us to plan new concerts. We sincerely apologise to our supportive fans for being unable to organise the national tour and gala concert at this moment.”
Warfaze celebrated a remarkable milestone on 6 June this year, marking forty years of musical excellence. Over four decades, they have maintained an enormous following in Bangladesh, enchanting audiences with electrifying live performances, acclaimed albums, and special events. The “Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour” was conceived both as a tribute to the band’s extraordinary journey and as a gesture of gratitude towards their loyal supporters.
While the postponement is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, enthusiasm for the band remains undiminished. Music lovers across the country are eagerly awaiting updates, hopeful that Warfaze will soon resume live performances and continue to celebrate their legendary musical legacy.
