“We Even Stopped Meeting Each Other” — Dighi Opens Up About Touhid Afridi

YouTuber and content creator Touhid Afridi has recently been in the spotlight, particularly after his arrest in connection with a murder case that emerged during the anti-discrimination movement. Since then, his name has repeatedly surfaced in discussions, accompanied by various allegations and speculations.

One of the most talked-about controversies in the entertainment industry was Afridi’s alleged relationship with actress Prarthana Fardin Dighi. Social media once buzzed with the assumption that the two might eventually marry. However, the reality turned out differently, as Afridi’s wife is in fact someone else and is currently pregnant.

Although both Afridi and Dighi consistently insisted that they were “just friends,” public curiosity never faded. The topic resurfaced again recently on social platforms, and Dighi once more faced direct questions regarding their past connection.

In response, Dighi clarified that she now has no communication whatsoever with Touhid Afridi.

In a recent media interview, Dighi elaborated on how she first met Afridi:“He was the anchor of a programme on My TV. That’s where we first met and got to know each other. Afterwards, the whole issue suddenly went viral. Neither of us ever expected it would blow up like that.”

Regarding Afridi being labelled as her boyfriend, Dighi refuted the claim:“We never said such things. I certainly didn’t. In fact, he was even stricter about clarifying it. But at one point, the situation got far too intense.”

She further explained the strain it caused on their personal lives and families:“Our families also felt embarrassed by the rumours. We were confused why such news would spread about something we weren’t even aware of or involved in. Eventually, it reached a stage where we hardly spoke for a year to a year and a half — and we even stopped meeting altogether.”
