What Mahim Said After Announcing Resignation from NCP

Fardin Ehsan Mahim, a key upazila organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) in Pirgacha, Rangpur, has announced his withdrawal from all activities of the party. On Saturday (November 1), he shared this decision in a status on his Facebook account.

Earlier, in July, he had voluntarily resigned after the Pirgacha branch committee of the Bangladesh Democratic Students’ League was announced without his knowledge.

In his Facebook post, Mahim wrote, “Almighty Allah loves me so much that wherever I have gone in life, He has made me successful (except NCP).” He added, “You all know me as an organizer of the National Citizens Party. It is worth mentioning that I did not hold any official position in the Pirgacha branch of NCP. However, I was one of the two individuals involved in starting NCP in this upazila. For completely personal reasons and consciously, I am withdrawing myself from all activities of the NCP.”

Mahim also stated, “Well-wishers know how much effort I have put into this new party. While working, I have received love, criticism, and propaganda. If anyone has been hurt by my work or behavior, I apologize. Please pray for me.”

At the end of the post, he extended his best wishes to NCP central leader Akhtar Hossain and all members of the Pirgacha Upazila NCP.
