Will Elon Musk Accept Trump’s Dinner Invitation?

US President Donald Trump has organised a dinner in honour of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday. Tesla CEO and former close friend of Trump, Elon Musk, is expected to attend this dinner. This information was reported by the US media outlet Punchbowl News.

On Tuesday, the Saudi Crown Prince is scheduled to meet President Trump at the White House upon his arrival in the United States. This meeting is primarily aimed at strengthening the long-standing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and security.

This marks the Crown Prince’s first visit to the United States since the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul.

According to a report by Punchbowl News, Indian media outlet Live Mint has also stated that famous golfer Tiger Woods is expected to attend the dinner. However, it is still unclear whether Elon Musk has accepted the dinner invitation.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk had a close relationship for a long time. Musk spent a significant amount of money on Trump’s 2024 election campaign and was appointed as the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DGOE) after the election.

However, their relationship hit a rough patch in June over Trump’s tax and spending bill. Musk resigned from his position at DGOE, and both of them made critical comments about each other on social media.

At that time, Musk had called Trump’s tax and spending bill “disastrous.” In response, Trump told reporters at the Oval Office, “I had a very good relationship with Elon. I don’t know if that will continue.”
