An unidentified woman (45) died after being run over by a train in the Barobazar area of Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah. The accident occurred around 2:30 pm on Monday.
Siddikul Islam, the station master of Barobazar Railway Station, said that as the Sundarban Express, travelling from Dhaka to Khulna, reached the Barobazar railway signal at 2:38 pm, the woman was run over by the train. Railway authorities could not confirm her identity. It is also not known whether it was an accident or a suicide.
