In a calculated sting operation in Noakhali, a female drug trafficker, Panna Akter, 40, was apprehended while attempting to sell yaba tablets under the guise of seeking medical treatment. The arrest was carried out by the Noakhali District Narcotics Control Department, which also seized 150 yaba pills and two mobile phones reportedly used for coordinating drug transactions.

Panna Akter hails from Rasulpur village in Amishapara Union of Sonaimuri Upazila, the daughter of the late Abdul Gafur. She had been allegedly involved in the local distribution of yaba in Maijdi town, prompting law enforcement to act upon confidential intelligence regarding her activities.
