Young Actress Sadiya Ayman Embraces Her Royal Identity

Rising from humble beginnings, young actress Sadiya Ayman has steadily forged a path in Bangladesh’s entertainment industry, relying on sheer determination, perseverance, and an unwavering belief in her own abilities. Today, she stands as a self-made talent, meticulously planning her career and managing her finances independently—a level of self-reliance that inspires her to describe herself, in her own words, as a ‘queen’.

Speaking candidly to the press, Sadiya shared, “I consider myself a queen. Always. But it’s more than just a personal feeling—every young woman, in some way, longs to experience that sense of authority over her own life. I am financially independent, and acting is not merely a job but a profession I take seriously. From travel and shopping to leisure, I cover all my expenses with my own earnings. That independence, that ability to chart my own course, is why I feel like a queen. Society should encourage every woman to see herself in this light.”

Despite a hectic shooting schedule, Sadiya recently took a moment for herself, embarking on a personal getaway to Cox’s Bazar, which she affectionately dubbed her ‘Queen Retreat’. “After long stretches of work, a break is absolutely essential,” she explained. “Spending time on your own terms is invigorating. Friends often wish to meet, but my schedule rarely allows it. I had long planned this escape with my school friend Nazia Binte Ashraf, who shares the same sense of independence. We both view ourselves as queens, and this retreat was a celebration of that self-reliance.”

She continued, “Travelling independently is liberating. It is a gift you give yourself. My hope is that society continues to dismantle gender-based barriers and that more women embrace self-sufficiency to realise their ambitions. Every woman has the potential to be her own queen—that was the essence behind naming our trip ‘Queen Retreat’.”

In 2025, Sadiya has been widely lauded for her performances in television dramas such as Deri Kore Ashben, Khunji Toke, Megh Brishti Roddur, and Please Go. Yet it is her role in the feature film Utsob that has garnered the greatest attention, highlighting her nuanced acting and unique presence on screen, firmly establishing her as one of Bangladesh’s most promising rising stars.
