In a tragic incident on Friday evening, 30 January, a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Jhinaigati, Sherpur District, resulted in the death of a 17-year-old youth. The accident occurred at Ahammadnagar, a locality along the Sherpur-Rangtia Road, a route known for its narrow lanes and frequent traffic congestion.

The deceased has been identified as Shanto Mia (17), a resident of Sadar Goruhati in Jhinaigati market. He was the only son of the late Abul Kashem. Locals described Shanto as a diligent student and a popular member of his community.
