Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday praised Washington’s decision to offer security guarantees to Ukraine, ahead of his scheduled meeting in Washington with US President Donald Trump.
Speaking on social media, Zelensky emphasised that the security guarantees, developed through joint efforts, should be practical and comprehensive, providing protection on land, in the air, and at sea, and involving active participation from European partners.
This announcement followed a video conference earlier on Sunday with Ukraine’s European allies, including the leaders of Britain, France, and Germany, underscoring the broader international support for Ukraine’s security.
