Zelensky to Sign Minerals Deal in ‘Very Short Term’: Michael Waltz

NATIONAL HARBOR, United States, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS/AFP) – The White House confirmed on Friday that Ukraine will soon sign a deal allowing Washington access to its mineral deposits, a deal that had previously been rejected by President Volodymyr Zelensky due to concerns over insufficient security guarantees.

During his remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) near Washington, Michael Waltz, Trump’s National Security Advisor, stated, “Look, here’s the bottom line, President Zelensky is going to sign that deal, and you will see that in the very short term, and that is good for Ukraine.”
