An earthquake was felt in the capital Dhaka as well as various parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, the earthquake measured 5.7 in magnitude, with its epicentre in Madhabdi, Narsingdi. The distance from Dhaka is only 13 kilometres.
The tremor was felt on Friday (21 November) between 10:38 and 10:39 in the morning. The epicentre has been identified as Madhabdi, Narsingdi.
The Meteorological Department stated that it was a medium-intensity earthquake.
