University Issues Directive on Financial Transactions and Gifts in Affiliated Colleges

The authorities of the National University have issued a directive stating that any teacher or official visiting an affiliated college will face legal action if they illegally offer or accept financial benefits or gifts. The directive also stipulates that the concerned college or educational institution will be held accountable. The order has been issued in the interest of the university by Registrar Molla Mahfuz Al-Hossain.

The directive highlights that during visits, inspections, audits, investigations, recruitment, or examination-related work, certain affiliated colleges or institutions have reportedly offered financial benefits or gifts to university representatives.

It clarifies that:

  • Teachers and officials are entitled to TA (Travel Allowance), DA (Daily Allowance), or honoraria from the university fund when visiting affiliated colleges for official work.
  • Any unauthorised financial benefits or gifts provided to a university teacher or official will result in legal action against the college or institution.
  • If a university teacher or official accepts any unauthorised financial benefit or gift, administrative action will be taken against them as well.
