Barcelona Loses at Home Despite Early Lead

Barcelona began their Champions League campaign with a victory, but their return to home soil brought disappointment. Despite taking an early lead, Hansi Flick’s team could not secure the win, ultimately succumbing to a last-minute goal by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). On Wednesday, 1 October, Barcelona lost 2-1 in a thrilling encounter.

Both teams were missing several important players due to injuries:

  • Barcelona: Regular goalkeeper Joan Garcia, Raphinha, and Fermin Lopez were unavailable.
  • PSG: The side played without Ousmane Dembélé and Kavartsakhy.

Despite these absences, the match saw a fierce contest from start to finish.

Ferran Torres put Barcelona ahead in the early stages. However, PSG’s Sini Mayulu equalised towards the end of the first half. In the dying moments of the match, Gonzalo Ramos scored the decisive goal, handing PSG a narrow victory.
