JNU Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Leader Dies of Heart Attack

Hasibur Rahman, the Joint Convener of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at Jagannath University (JNU), has passed away.

The incident occurred on Friday, 3 October, around 10:00 pm, while Hasibur was staying at the Hotel Star Kabab, near the campus. He suddenly fell ill and was immediately taken to Dhaka National Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Eyewitnesses reported that Hasibur suddenly experienced convulsions and complained of severe chest pain. Despite being rushed to the hospital without delay, medical personnel were unable to save him. Initial reports suggest that he succumbed to a heart attack.

Meanwhile, Riazul Islam, President of the JNU branch of Chhatra Shibir, expressed his condolences on social media, writing: “Hasibur Bhai, Joint Convener of the Jagannath University Chhatra Dal, is no longer with us. May Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Ferdous.”
