Akshay Kumar Appeals to Government After Daughter Receives Inappropriate Proposal in Online Game

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar revealed that his daughter, Nitara, recently became a victim of cyber harassment while playing an online game. During the game, a stranger on the other side made inappropriate demands, requesting nude photographs from her. Akshay Kumar shared this incident at the inauguration of “Cyber Awareness Month 2025”, organised by the Maharashtra State Police on Friday.

The actor explained the sequence of events: “While playing the game, Nitara interacted with a person who initially inquired about her identity. After she identified herself as female, the individual’s behaviour changed, and shortly thereafter, he began asking for nude images. Realising the situation, Nitara immediately stopped playing and ran to her mother to report the incident.”

Reflecting on the matter, Akshay Kumar remarked: “This is exactly how a criminal tendency develops. It is from such situations that cyber crimes originate.”

He further took the opportunity to make a special request to the Maharashtra government. Akshay suggested the introduction of a weekly ‘Cyber Period’ for students from grades 7 to 10. He emphasised that such an initiative would educate teenagers about online safety, raising awareness and helping them avoid falling prey to cybercrimes.

This incident highlights the growing risks of online interactions for minors and underscores the need for preventive education in schools.
