Russia Reports Interception of 184 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack on Russia for the second consecutive night, which Moscow said on Tuesday resulted in the interception of 184 drones.

According to Russia’s Defence Ministry, the majority of the drones were intercepted over the border regions of Kursk and Belgorod.

The previous night, Russia reported intercepting 251 drones, marking one of Kyiv’s largest retaliatory attacks so far.

Casualties and Infrastructure Impact

Local authorities in Belgorod reported that the strikes left two people dead and caused power outages, with approximately 1,000 residents still without electricity.

The repeated drone attacks come amid escalating tensions, as Kyiv has pledged to increase strikes on Russian territory, particularly targeting oil infrastructure.

Ukraine views these retaliatory strikes as a legitimate response to Russia’s daily attacks on Ukrainian cities and its energy network, which have at times left millions of people without heating and electricity.
