Cyclone Mocha has weakened into a deep depression and, as of 6 a.m. today (29 October), is located over Andhra Pradesh and surrounding areas. It is expected to continue weakening gradually. On Wednesday (29 October) morning, meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa told Jago News that yesterday, Tuesday, the highest rainfall recorded in the country was 54 millimetres in Maijdee, Noakhali. Light rain was also observed in Khulna. Rainfall is expected to increase further today compared to yesterday.

The Meteorological Department has stated that on Wednesday, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms may occur in many areas of the Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions, and in some areas of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.
