Md. Shahjahan Mia, who was serving as both the Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and the Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka WASA, has been removed from his responsibilities. Alongside these roles, he was also serving as an Additional Secretary in the Local Government Division.
On Thursday (October 30), the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification transferring Shahjahan Mia to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief as an Additional Secretary.
According to the notification, the order has been issued in the public interest and will take immediate effect.
Earlier this year, on February 13, the interim government had appointed Shahjahan Mia as the Administrator of DSCC while he was serving as an Additional Secretary in the Local Government Division. About two months later, on May 18, he was also given the responsibility of Managing Director of Dhaka WASA.
