The Bangladesh Weather Observation Team (BWOT) has forecast a strong possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in 20 districts across the northern and northwestern regions of the country.
BWOT shared this information in a post on its official Facebook page on Thursday (October 30).
According to BWOT, between 6:00 a.m. on Friday (October 31) and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday (November 2), heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is likely to occur in Rangpur, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Thakurgaon, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Bogura, Joypurhat, Sirajganj, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Mymensingh, Netrakona, Sunamganj, Sylhet, and surrounding areas.
The forecast also mentioned that due to variations in atmospheric pressure, sudden gusty winds may blow over some of these districts during the same period, although not everywhere.
In addition, scattered light to moderate thunderstorms are expected to occur in different parts of the country from Friday through Monday (November 3).
