In joint operations conducted across the country from October 23 to 30, 149 individuals have been arrested, according to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The release stated that the Bangladesh Army is working professionally to maintain law and order amid the ongoing situation in the country. In continuation of these efforts, units under various infantry divisions and independent brigades of the Army, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, carried out joint operations in Dhaka and other areas nationwide from October 23 to 30.
During these operations, a total of 149 criminals, including top terrorists, drug dealers, and drug addicts, were apprehended. The release further stated that authorities recovered 19 illegal firearms, 18 magazines, 26 rounds of various ammunition, 17 cartridges, 4.62 kilograms of explosives, local and imported drugs, local and foreign bladed weapons, private cars, motorcycles, and CNG vehicles from the arrested individuals. They were handed over to the relevant police stations for interrogation and necessary legal actions.
