The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized Indian goods worth crores of taka from various border areas in Cumilla and Brahmanbaria districts. The seizure took place on Sunday (November 2) night.
The matter was confirmed to the media by Lieutenant Colonel Md. Ziaur Rahman, Commanding Officer of BGB Battalion-60. He said that the seized goods were recovered from different border areas of Cumilla’s Adarsha Sadar and Brahmanpara upazilas, as well as Brahmanbaria’s Kasba upazila.
He further stated that the seized items include mobile phone displays worth Tk 7.52 million and various food products worth Tk 2.48 million. He added that such operations by the BGB will continue.
