The government has released a new list for the observance and celebration of various national and international days and festivals with due dignity. Recently, the Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard.
According to the circular, except for national days, elaborate decorations and large-scale programs should be avoided as much as possible. However, discussions on radio and television and small-scale seminars or symposiums may be organized. It has also been instructed not to hold processions or rallies on working days.
The circular further states that if a particular week is to be observed, the program schedule should generally be limited to three days. Officially approved programs should not disrupt regular office activities. Discussions or cultural events are advised to be held on holidays or after office hours.
