The price of gold in the country has increased again. The price per bhori has risen by 2,507 taka. According to the new rate, the price of 22-carat gold is now 2,04,283 taka.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced this information in a notice on Monday night (November 10). The new prices will be effective from Tuesday (November 11).

The notice stated that the adjustment in gold prices was made due to the rise in the local market for pure gold (tejabi gold).

21-carat: 1,94,999 taka per bhori

Traditional method: 1,38,942 taka per bhori

The notice further mentioned that a 5% government VAT and a 6% minimum wage set by BAJUS should be added to the gold sale price. However, labor charges may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.
