2356 Cases Filed for Traffic Violations in the Capital

The Traffic Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 2356 cases against traffic violators in various areas of Dhaka city.

The operation was conducted on Monday (November 10) across different areas of the capital, resulting in the filing of these cases.

A press release sent by DMP’s Traffic Department on Tuesday provided this information.

According to the release, in the Traffic-Motijheel Division, a total of 461 cases were filed, including 22 buses, 8 trucks, 23 covered vans, 52 CNGs, and 297 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Wari Division, 304 cases were filed, including 12 buses, 13 trucks, 22 covered vans, 5 CNGs, and 223 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Tejgaon Division, 297 cases were filed, which included 11 buses, 2 trucks, 12 covered vans, 36 CNGs, and 191 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Mirpur Division, 365 cases were filed, consisting of 11 buses, 3 trucks, 6 covered vans, 16 CNGs, and 288 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Gulshan Division, a total of 314 cases were filed, including 17 buses, 3 trucks, 5 covered vans, 15 CNGs, and 206 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Uttara Division, 289 cases were filed, including 11 buses, 14 trucks, 15 covered vans, 39 CNGs, and 120 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Ramna Division, 112 cases were filed, including 7 buses, 3 covered vans, 5 CNGs, and 49 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Lalbagh Division, 214 cases were filed, including 4 buses, 11 trucks, 2 covered vans, 14 CNGs, and 157 motorcycles.

Additionally, a total of 588 vehicles were dumped, and 124 vehicles were towed during the operation.

The DMP Traffic Department has stated that its operations to maintain traffic discipline in the Dhaka metropolitan area will continue.
