The claim that Bangladesh is involved in the car explosion near Red Fort in New Delhi, which some Indian media outlets have labeled as a “terrorist attack,” is completely baseless, said Bangladesh’s Foreign Advisor, Touhid Hossain.
In response to questions from journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday evening, he stated, “Indian media often tries to place the blame on Bangladesh whenever possible, but there is no connection between Bangladesh and the attack at Red Fort.”
He further clarified, “We have not leaned toward any particular country regarding the purchase of arms from China. Bangladesh maintains a balanced relationship with all countries.”
On the issue of the verdict in Sheikh Hasina’s case, he mentioned, “Anyone can appeal to the United Nations regarding the ruling against Sheikh Hasina. If the UN takes any stance on this, Dhaka will take appropriate measures.”
It is worth noting that the bomb attack in front of Delhi’s Red Fort resulted in the deaths of 13 people, with many others injured. Some Indian media outlets have tried to link Bangladesh to the incident.
