In the past 24 hours, three more people have died from dengue across the country. During the same period, 833 new dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals.
The information was shared in a press release by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday.
So far this year, a total of 326 people have died from dengue.
The press release provided details about the number of new hospital admissions in various regions: In Barishal division (outside city corporation areas), 113 people were admitted; in Chattogram division (outside city corporation areas), 119; in Dhaka division (outside city corporation areas), 158; in Dhaka North City Corporation, 167; in Dhaka South City Corporation, 116; in Mymensingh division (outside city corporation areas), 77; in Rajshahi division (outside city corporation areas), 65; in Rangpur division (outside city corporation areas), 12; and in Sylhet division (outside city corporation areas), 6.
Additionally, 859 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours. A total of 78,848 patients have been discharged from hospitals this year.
As of November 13, the total number of dengue cases in the country has reached 82,606, with 62.4% of the cases being male and 37.6% female.
