14 Houses Burnt to Ashes in Kitchen Fire in Thakurgaon

A devastating fire broke out on Thursday (November 13) afternoon in the Kailash Member Para area of North Fakdanpur, Rahimanpur Union, in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila, burning down 14 houses.

According to local sources, the fire started from a kitchen and quickly spread to nearby houses. Local residents, with the help of the Thakurgaon Fire Service, managed to control the fire after about an hour of effort.

Thakurgaon Fire Service Inspector Mojammel Haque stated that household furniture, cash, and valuable items were destroyed in the fire. The estimated loss from the incident is around six lakh taka (approximately 600,000 BDT).
