The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exam rechecking will be published on Sunday, November 16. A total of 226,561 candidates from 11 education boards have applied for the rechecking of 428,458 answer scripts from the recent HSC exams.
Professor S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider, Controller of Examinations at the Dhaka Education Board, announced this in a notice sent out on Thursday (November 13). He stated that the results will be published at 10 AM on Sunday, November 16, simultaneously on the websites of all education boards.
He further explained that students will be able to access their results on the respective education board websites. Additionally, SMS notifications will be sent to the mobile numbers used for the rechecking applications.
The HSC and equivalent results were released on October 16. Following that, from October 17 to October 23, candidates who were not satisfied with their results had the opportunity to apply for rechecking online. The fee for each subject was 150 BDT, and students had to pay this amount to apply for rechecking.
Every year, public exam candidates have the option to apply for rechecking of their answer scripts. However, rechecking does not involve a full re-evaluation of the scripts. Instead, it involves verifying if the marks for the answers are correctly totaled and whether there were any errors in marking.
