Two consecutive cocktail explosions occurred at night in the area of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital. However, no casualties were reported.
At around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday (November 13), the first cocktail exploded in front of the airport roundabout’s outgoing gate. Shortly afterward, the second explosion occurred in front of the Xinjiang Restaurant in Airport Sector 1.
Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, the investigating officer of Airport Police Station, said that the cocktails might have been thrown from the flyover. Police have collected samples from the scene and are investigating the motive behind the incident.
